Joseph Wato is an expert in international relations with a focus on health diplomacy. A civil society leader, Wato is active in the fight against malaria at national and international level. He is the National President of the Coalition of CSOs for Health Financing and CSU in Cameroon (COFIS-CSU), the Executive Director of the organizations APDSP/PENASED and has sat as a member of the Global Fund’s CCM in Cameroon representing NGOs and associations fighting against malaria. Wato is an international advocate in the fight against malaria, Tuberculosis, and HIV, and a member of the Civil Society Global Platform for Malaria Elimination (CS4ME). He is also a GFAN Speaker from the Global Fund Advocate Network Speaker Bureau; A member of the Developing Country NGOs Delegation (DCNGO) to the Global Fund Board, and currently one of the two civil society representatives on the Board of Directors of the Roll-Back Malaria partnership to end malaria (RBM Partnership).
