Dr. Edona Deva is the HIV Program Manager, at the Community Development Fund (CDF) in the Republic of Kosovo. Dr. Deva is a Medical Doctor and Public Health specialist, graduated in Medical Faculty of University of Prishtina. She holds a master’s degree in health management sciences from the Faculty of Economics of University of Prishtina. Dr. Deva has over twenty years of experience in the field of public health and global health, working with various national and international governmental and non-governmental organizations, technical partners and communities. In the capacity of National AIDS Coordinator, she worked for the Ministry of Health of Kosovo, and joined CDF – a non-profit NGO – in October 2011. Dr. Deva has a long-standing experience working with the Global Fund as implementer and governance official, having served with the Principal Recipient of the GF grant in the Ministry of Health and CDF, managing portfolio of over 16 million USD in support to HIV and COVID-19 response. Dr. Deva is a member of DCNGO Delegation to the Global Fund Board, and she served as Alternate Board Member from 2017 – 2019. Dr. Deva is a human rights defender and advocate, fighting stigma and discrimination towards socially marginalized groups and people affected by the diseases.
