Haruna Aaron Sunday from Nigeria currently serves as the Executive Director of African Network of Adolescents and Young Persons Development (ANAYD). Aaron is a civic leader, a public health specialist, a global influencer, public speaker, health activist. Aaron won the 2021 AVAC advocate Award as a researcher who specialized in HIV, TB and sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for adolescents and young people in their diversity. He has over 8 years of experience across diverse organizations in different capacities. Aaron has wealth of experience across, governance and policy, leadership, management, strategic planning, research & analysis, communication, risk management, budgeting, program development, Implementation, strategic partnership relations, youth engagement, institutional system strengthening and team building. For almost a decade he has engaged policy makers and stakeholders to protect the rights of adolescents and young people and expand opportunities to enable young people to reach their full potential. He has designed and implemented projects, capacity building and training programs for young people, worked with health service providers and civil society organizations. Furthermore, he has been involved in numerous states, national, regional and global technical assignment. Aaron has been a member of the DCNGO Delegation since 2019 and ANAYD is currently representing the youth as alternate member on CCM Nigeria.
